Ningbo University is a non-profit public higher education school located in the big city of Ningbo. It was founded in 1986. The university is located in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, in the historical and cultural city of Ningbo, which is bordered by the East China Sea.

Ningbo has long been regarded as a prosperous economic port and a dazzling pearl in the East Sea region. The University comprises five campuses that occupy approximately 160 hectares and have a combined floor space of 560,000 square meters.

Ningbo University provides courses and programs that lead to internationally recognized advanced degrees such as bachelor's degrees in a variety of fields. This 34-year-old university has a strict admissions strategy based on entrance exams. Applicants from all over the world, including Bangladeshi students, are welcome to apply. There are currently about 2500 international students studying here.

The University primarily focuses on research and development, and it receives funding from the federal, provincial, and municipal governments. Its short-term goal is to become a university focused on teaching and research.

Until now, the university has maintained close ties and intercollegiate cooperation with nearly 80 well-known higher education institutions in more than 30 countries, including Purdue University in the United States, Canberra University in Australia, Wollongong University in Australia, and the University of Montreal in Canada (Canada).
