Australia's second oldest university ‘The University of Melbourne’ has a history of 170 years.

The university started its journey in July 1854 providing degrees in Arts, Medicine, and Music. The State Library was also established in the following year.
In 1857 the Law school was established at the Parkville campus.
The faculty of the School of Medicine and Engineering was established in the 1860s.
The Diploma of Education started in 1903 and the Department of Agriculture started in 1911.
The development continued into the 1990s, with the Victorian College of the Arts affiliation with the University of Melbourne in 1992.

Students need to fill out the application form and providing the necessary documents are fundamental steps in applying to the University of Melbourne. Let's break down some of the key components you must know before applying:

IELTS: total score of at least 6.5 in the Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with no bands less than 6.0.
TOEFL Internet-based test: total score of at least 79 out of 120 and scores of 21 for writing, 18 for speaking, 13 for reading, and 13 for listening the minimum English language proficiency standards that applicants need to meet to be eligible for admission.
